black screen + power led light and nothing more ?!!

hi guys

i have an archos 80 G9 turbo 16gb.
after firmware updating to 4.0.5 the device goes to freezing during work.Then i tryed to installing
3.2.8-2 firmware from recovery (vol down + power on key).I did full formating and after that i copied
the firmware(3.2.8-2) in to the root of drive which came up in "mycomputer".
when copy was finished , i pushed the power sw to continu the work. device tried to read the firmware
and when finished ,the screen goes black (rebooting).after that nothing happend.now i can not to boot
it and can not accses to recovery.nothing just green led.

i am wating for help of you.

press and hold volume + and power button until a white screen menu appears (recovery mode)
then chose update firmware then connect the device to your pc .
download the firmware http://update.archos.com/9/gen9/gen9_4. ... os_it4.aos
transfer it to your device.
when transfer finishes just press power button once to start update.
leave it connected to usb until it finishes update and device turns on.

i did it .but nothing happened.
there is just black screen and power led light and no respons !

I think I have exactly the same problem.
Just black screen and LED light working.
I even connect it with a pc and I can browse Archos's content with Windows Explorer.
The machine is working, the screen no.
Also, I cannot go the white reset screen, nothing happens when I press the reset buttons.
Any suggestions?

in this case the only thing you can do is contacting archos support.
calling them or sending your problem details to archos website here:
http://www.archos.com/support/support_t ... il&lang=en
and i hope that this can help.

I had same problem.
Black screen and diode blink and nothing else.

I put a charger ten times in a row and I left. After that it worked.
Wait for 5 seconds after each connecting and disconnecting the charger.

I finally contacted Archos. I answered a few questions and they realized that the tablet is useless. They told me to send it back in France. After 2-3 weeks I received a new tablet and an upgraded one also (the Turbo model), which is a bit faster.
So, all is good now.

I've the same problem dude but I couldn't fix it yet...
