Am I missing something, when I put my Galaxy S3 and my iPad into standby mode (press the button that turns off the screen) both devices use very little power and will last days, if not weeks like this.
I put the Gamepad in standby last night with 85% power and it's dead this morning, I am new to Android tablets and wasn't sure If I am missing a setting on the OS or something.
Thanks
Standby mode
Re: Standby mode
Archos should know about this and prolly a update will follow.
Re: Standby mode
It all depends on what apps are running in the background. It could be an Archos Gamepad problem, or it could be an app that you have is keeping the device from sleeping properly.
Once in a while I'll have a rogue app that decides to keep my phone at 100% system uptime and it will destroy my battery. Then again, it could just be some system issue. I don't have one yet, so I have no way to test it for myself.

Re: Standby mode
At the moment i find when i finish with the tablet i turn it completly off this solves the standby problem temparalily but needs fixing also the sd card bug where it mounts and unmounts itself in stanby mode need fixing.
Re: Standby mode
I'm relieved to see it's not just me with these issues, mine also keeps mounting and un-mounting the SD card in standby.jutley wrote:At the moment i find when i finish with the tablet i turn it completly off this solves the standby problem temparalily but needs fixing also the sd card bug where it mounts and unmounts itself in stanby mode need fixing.
I have taken to switching the pad off completely also.
Re: Standby mode
All we can do is wait for a update I am sure they are hard at work.
