In the last five seconds of your video, there is some white Arnova tablet to be seen on the back. Could you have a look at it?

I was sold on this already Charbax but now I am drooling. This machine is going to go through the roof. Archos have a real winner on their hands here. Over at the Dingoonity forum (forum for retro gaming handhelds) they have termed this machine "The Holy Grail". Its the ultimate android handheld gaming console.

Charbax, can you use your contacts to find out when pre orders go up for this? I want it as soon as its off the production line.
Cheers

Nice video man, it definitely shows some emulation power. That makes me very happy to see. I need to test out my PS1 game collection on that system. I can test it out on my wife's SGS3 though, as the GPU is the same. I'm sure they will run well though.

Either way, I'm definitely getting one. Especially now seeing how well it maps buttons.

Is it tiring to hold in your hands? I have a PlayStation Vita and its arrangement and thinness makes my hands twitch after a few hours of use. Maybe the Archos GamePad's width might fight that, I'm not sure. And how are the buttons, are they sticky or how did they feel? (Also, is there a SD card slot? Does it have accelerometer controls for motion sensing, because the press release didn't say and the demos didn't show either element.)

Either way about the buttons, I like having a bit of extra handspace on a tablet (it makes it bigger to carry but everybody wants to cut the bezel on their touch devices I feel partly as a bulletpoint rather than for the importance of feel) and I'm impressed with the performance and the screen quality in the video! I'm going to pick one up and see how it goes.

Is it still coming in November? And will you have an Amazon referral link so we can kick you back a few shekels?

=NATCH= One of the Taiwan videos showed the SD slot, and it's nice and accessible, so that's good.

Nice video Charbax. The Gamepad looks great. Archos has really picked up their game. I can't wait to buy a Gamepad.

** I have merged the two threads that were about the video. This should clean it up a bit. **

The video in this thread. Go to the time in this picture, and right after you will hear Charbax saying "TF".

Image

The micro SD slot is on the bottom of the GamePad, on the back right side.

Also to note, the micro HDMI, micro USB (for charging/mounting), and the headphone jack can all be seen at 6:27 in the video.
Order in the video at 6:27 is (left to right on the screen) - micro HDMI, headphone, micro USB. So of course it would reversed when looking at the screen.
Those three are all on the top of the GamePad.

Thank you Harfainx. The gamepad looks better and better every vid. I wonder if I could find an adapter to plug in a thumb drive.

There is a micro USB port, so chances are that it will support a USB on the go cable. You'll probably be able to run a thumb drive from there, but of course you would be covering your charging port.

Great new video, I'm very pleased to see N64 running so smooth. I do love Mario Kart, so hopefully that will run without any issues. I updated the OP with the video as well, so it doesn't get lost in the thread. Archos has a serious winner on their hands if they can get it out to the public soon. They have done something truly innovative here. These will fly off the shelves faster than any other tablet around.
