Ghost Screen

First post so apologies if this has already been covered. My Archos Gen 9 101 250gb turbos has develope screen issues. The screen got quite bad now when I switch on the contrast has gone and all I see is a ghostly grey screen which looks like an old 35mm negative. Has any body else suffered this and does anybody know of a fix or is it a case of return to Archos. The tablet is only 5 months old and was bought directly from Archos so the return costs etc i will have to pay for.
Any help appreciated Phil
