I've been a satisfied owner of G8 101 and on that basis bought a G9 101 for my son. Crashed three times in first hour with 3.2.80 Honeycomb out of the box. Next day he upgraded to ICS - same result if nor worse, so back to Honeycomb using method described here. Very disappointing as it seems even less stable than my old G8 which I've had for 18 months. It seems particularly incapable of handling YouTube which seems to make it crash/seize. Is this just a bad one and should be returned? Or is there a cure?? It's the turbo version with 1Gb RAM which I thought would have sorted the problems like this.
Thanks for any help/advice.

Re: New owner - problems :-(
Bought my archos 101 g9 8 GB a week ago.
Works like a charm (i didnt even know thuis device could crash.. )
Running ics, The only problem I experienced is the GPS stopped working this morning.
I think if troubles stay, you should return your unit for warranty.
Good luck

Re: New owner - problems :-(
Chris, and I had exactly the same experience with my 101 Turbo. I don't understand why some people don't experience this level of crashing. I think this is the most unstable premium table on the market and mine got sent back for a full refund.
Re: New owner - problems :-(
I know how you feel. Got my first tablet (101g9-16 gb) for Valentine's 2012. I'm on my second tablet and I'm about ready to send this one back. I feel as though my husband bought me a $350 e-reader. This thing freezes more than it runs, which is so frustrating. Try to surf the web and it either freezes or goes to the home screen. It've reformatted more times than I care to mention. Everyone's answer is reformat, reformat. I'm not a tech expert, but I do know enough to understand that this tablet (2nd one) should not be giving me the same problems as the first one; you would think so any way. I loved my 1st tablet for a week, then it was like having the tablet from nightmareville. And the nightmare is continuing. Now just trying to like this tablet is wearing me out.
