Help please - with accessing books on Archos 101 G9

Hi there,

Wonder if anybody can help please?

I have managed to download books from my pc (ePub format) onto my Archos and they seemed to be saved under my 'Files' icon.

However when I click within the File folder , onto a book. I get an error message saying 'cannot open file,??

Should I have to download a programme or something to view the book? Or is it a problem with the file??

Any ideas please?

you can search for epub readers from google play, like aldiko. They dont seem to like to be invoked by clicking on a file, but want to set up their own kingdom. You may have to move your epubs to a certain folder, then import from the app. I dont know why they insist on this nonsense. Beware their term sdcard may not refer to a sdcard, but a folder on flash. Some of these cannot see a real sdcard anyway.

I use FBReader. To access a book on the SD card, click the library icon, the select the File tree option. Next choose Device (not Memory card), then mnt, and finally sdcard to get to the root directory ofthe card.

Nice! I had tried that tool before, but not with that particular path to sdcard.
