70b IT screen quality

Hey guys,

Just got my 70b IT in. However, I am a bit disappointed by the screen color quality. White is just not that white and it seems as if it can't display a lot of colors, it just always looks kind of fuzzy. Could someone post some screens of the homescreen, something with a white background etc, just some pics so I can compare. I am wondering if it is my device or if it's normal.

By the way, when the screen is turned of I can see a square grid over the screen, correct?

Hi Bruno,

First the easy question: Yes, when the screen is off I can see the grid. I assume this is the capacitive sensor.

As for the brightness/colour: Have you tried moving the brightness level to maximum. The default is 50% which will make white look grey and colours dull.

Fuzzy? I can't say that it has even crossed my mind that the screen might be fuzzy, so I guess that's probably a "No". Mind you, now that you mention it, if I look really close. And I mean REALLY close I can see it's not super-dooper pin-sharp. But this device is not in the same league as an iPad or Samsung.

I tried taking some pictures of my A70b's screen but my camera wasn't up to it.

What I mean with the fuzzyness; a white page doesn't seem extremely white. It looks as if I can distinguish RGB pixels.. Is this correct? I'm used to white on my Xperia S..

Yeah, you can count the pixels, also the white ones.
