Are we ever going to get a new version of the archos 5?

Ok in my opinion for what its worth the archos 5 Internet tablet was and still is the best media to date, perfect size, perfect weight and fits in your pocket.

Now obviously we have new range from archos the next best thing was the archos 43 which wasn't as good. now archos have moved onto 7"- 10" range which do not fit in your pocket...

well archos ever bring out a new 5" tablet?? maybe on the G9 range?

Many people have asked the same thing without any definitive answer. A lot of people love the 5 inch form factor for portability and better viewing than a 4 incher. Unfortunately it looks like it may not make the Gen 9.

Samsung is coming out with a 4 and 5 inch wifi media player, and the Note, a 5.3 inch Phone. Other than that I have not seen any plans for other 5 inchers on the horizon.

am very tempted. but am thinking of holding out for one that runs ICS to get the most from it. But might go what the heck and get the samsung, getting bored of waiting.

In a few days there will be big announcements from Archos, so lets wait and see.

come on archos they sell well!! and judging by the forums archos 5 is still alive and kicking!!!

I still have one and love it!!

I gave up and went for the samsung 5 inch player, very happy now. I was not impressed with the archos gen 9's viewing angles, it blacks out from 2 sides.
