I've read and followed advice on all the recent posts about battery life, and I'm still really frustrated with the battery life with my Archos 101 internet tablet. Most conversations seem to be about earlier firmware versions. I'm on firmware 2.4.82. I've been using my tablet for 2.5 hours surfing the internet and using email. I'm down to 26% battery life. Tech specs indicate I should get 10 hours surfing.
Any ideas? Im seriously considering sending this back although I hate to do that.
Thanks in advance

Re: Frustrated with battery life
My 4th RMA had a battery that lasted 1.5 hours so I sent it back. They took it and the 5th and final has a great battery.

I am having an issue where mine wont charge fully.....90% is the max I can get now....
Has it been determined if the issue is the device or the battery packs themselves?
If the batteries, cant they just send out a new battery versus exchanging for refurbished replacements?

Re: Frustrated with battery life
If you bought it in a store bring it back and change it. Any decent vendor will do it for you with no hassle. I changed mine in a local store twice in the first month of ownership - and teh first time was over just such a battery issue.
Otherwise send it back to where you got it anyway.
It's also worth noting - I've read elsewhere that the battery never really charges above the approx 88% percent mark or so - but the software indicator displays that it goes to 99 or 100. That's why it seems to run down so fast at the start of use, settling in the high 80s. You'll also find that the last few percent of your battery usage take a lot lot longer to run down that the earlier higher percentages. I recall using it for an hour or so while trying to run down the last few percent.
