It's your right to be skeptical but none of your previous purchases were confirmed by an actual previous buyer and or a member of this forum. You trusted merchants descriptions and those have proven to be wrong many times.
I would not give you a picture, if it was me, since you think somebody would lie intentionally here on this forum

I can see your point about a novice members claim. So I ordered one of these http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view ... App-Bundle
with the standard ground shipping for $310.67. Considerably more then the $250-$275 I previously paid for the others. It is estimated to arrive on 2/29. Can't believe it's going to take almost 2 weeks! I'll post back with pics of what I get. If it's not the 1.5g I hope QVC will not give me issues returning. Unike the other merchants, QVC is CORRECTLY advertising it "1.2GHz OMAP 4 smart multi-core ARM Cortex A9 processor" so I won't be able to say I didn't get what was offered like the other merchants.

Good choice I did the same but chose express shipping. Usually the real transit time is shorter than quoted. Never bought from them so I can't comment. May be Over's tab can let us know how long they really take. I do like their easy pay that way I'm not tying my money in case I need to return the tab. They have a 30 Days satisfaction guarantee. I've used HSN before and return were easy

3rd try to reply today! did you guys just order the same as I have?

edit. okay that one worked... I'll write one more time, on qvc, they are a good company to work with they are fair on returns, they may charge return shipping if its just a "choice" thing if you claim something on product is broke or not working correctly they cover return. on price, yes a little high but for some, multi pay with no interest or credit card is worth it plus its a co. that going to be there for ya next month, mine were both received within 7 business days.

I do not work for, represent or have any interest in any company. any testing results I did were triple checked, I have no reason to mislead anyone.

Thanks for the help on this!

one more thing, could you link me to or described what the higher ghz means for us in real life performance. same for the future 1GB RAM model vs current 512GB RAM

sorry for asking for basics, information overload from to many sources has me second guessing what I thought I knew

Bad News: I received my order tab from QVC as stated above. It's not the 1.5 Ghz. It's OMAP4430.

Not sure how OP got the 1.5ghz. May be it's a different batch and they have caught up the oversight.

Anyway, the good thing is I will return it and wait for a 1gig Ram tab version. RAM is very important for smooth operation. No regrets. A few weeks wait will worth it.

Thanks!

bhmm, wow. mixed feelings on this but I guess for you it will work out eventually getting stronger tablet. I doubt that qvc will have the 1gb tab as quick (or at all) as other sources, so I guess I should just be satisfied with what I have, so far its proven better (real use) performance then the 1GHz

did you happen to notice on the one you received if volume rocker is flat & almost flush? just wondering if its one of the indicators of new build/ batch, how about screen defect?

Honestly I'm not surprised. I think the folks at archos should know what they are talking about when they say they haven't made any yet. If someone really did receive a 1.5ghz I think they would have posted pics/proof by now.

Thanks for responding quickly. My order hadn't even shipped yet so I was able to cancel! I hope QVC takes your's back as easily as I was able to cancel. Again many thanks for the quick post.

Are you kidding me? Saying I'm lying because of lack of photo proof!

I didnt say you or anyone is lying. I simple said there has been no proof contrary to what the makers have indicated is currently available. Sorry if you took it that way.

Ok...... I'm not saying they intentionally mislead, but there is a history of confusion likely due to the fast passed technology world

Yes, that was an interesting model and it only had 8gb too. Looks like I'll be receiving my QVC order next wednesday after all. They charged my card yesterday and sent me tracking information. At least it won't be difficult to return since I already cancelled it, but if it has the 4460 I'll gladly keep it. I'm hoping this is a sign.

As you cross posted. Those appear to be preorders. Their site indicates they are not in stock.

I too can confirm QVC is NOT shipping 1.5g OMAP 4460's. Here's a pic of the box and the system info.

some screen shots of my 80G9 16GB turbo 1.5GHz 512 Mb
(from QVC, http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view ... App-Bundle *note that others received different model

on photo of box above, the one I received is the same except S/N# starts with 12#######
I was checking qvc on regular basis and ordered within hours of that one coming up. Archos may of supplied this version by mistake or as someone else mentioned they may be 'poc' proof of concept or market test models, whatever it is for my use, I just feel fortunate to have (until you all start receiving the 1gig ics models)

The serial number information is good to know! Too bad you can't call these mail order places and ask. But could help someone shopping in the camera stores in NY.

I've just received from Archos.com a G9 80 250 gb Hdd version with the new build, Omap 4460, 1.5ghz with 512 mb ram.

Way better than the 1.2. But of course I will misst the extra RAM. But I think we still need a few months to see the 1gig RAM in the US.
