How can I download apps from Android market?
I have a gmail account registered, but when I try to to download,
i receive a message " there are no Android phones connected to this account".
What am I doing wrong?
Android market and Archos 70
Re: Android market and Archos 70
How did you put the Market on your device? Arctools, or Gapps? Once you install Market, you need to register it with your device(phone).

That's the point I don't understand.my02vr6 wrote:How did you put the Market on your device? Arctools, or Gapps? Once you install Market, you need to register it with your device(phone).
I have no phone number.
I don't use A70 as a phone.
I downloaded Market and copied to A70. I run it, but nothing happens.
Once in Android store, I sign in. (I'm registered.)
But the message is the same

This is what I'm asking. How did you do this? What method did you use?terlisa wrote: I downloaded Market and copied to A70.
Even though this thing is a tablet, because most devices that use android have been predominantly phones, it thinks it is a phone still. Ignore that part. Once you get the market on there properly, you will be asked to sign in with your gmail account, and if it configured properly (credit card, etc for purchases) it will link the account to your "phone."

Hi terlisa
What my02vr6 is trying to say (sorry my02vr6) is to get the android market on your A70 (I'm a neewbie too and have just gone through the same process)
1. Download through Appslib an app called arctools (do a search in Appslib)
2. install arctools
3. install arctools apps
4. you will then find the 'Market' icon appears in the A70 library
5. launch the Market
6. Login with your gmail account (ignore the fact its talking about a phone that's irrelevant)
7. You should now be able to download Market apps.
Hope this of some help

Thanks
There is also the gapps4archos v5 way. I've learned the arctools is much easier and nets the same results now.

I did it as you said mitcheft, and worked fine.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Re: Android market and Archos 70
Thank you Mitcheft - I got an Archos 7 IT for Xmas but the AppsLib was driving me crazy as it just would work. I know there have been some issues over the holiday season but I only have a few days off work and wanted something to play with. Thanks to your easy to follow instructions, I know have the Android Market up and running.
Much appreciated.

Re: Android market and Archos 70
i echo your sentiments - Appslib has been suffering over the holiday period,, and even now.. the only apps i've managed to succesfully download are marketplace and nook.. lucky enough i got marketplace as this works a treat.. otherwise appslib is real frustrating...
