moved posts (temp post - to be removed)

hi people.
after a bit of moderating something weird happened to a number of posts,

I removed a prolific spammer and for some strange reason a number of threads ended up in the off topic area, please could you pm me with the post title and where it came from and i will move the topic back.
the posts that have moved seemed to be the ones that were hit the hardest by the spammer,

I dont know if you have this feature but you could add a time between 2 posts. Eg if I make a post now I will have to wait another 1-2-3 or more minutes until i make the next maybe this will discourage the spammers.

as far as im aware its on the max setting, im sure the scum have cracked the settings like they have cracked captya.
just to let you know when the mess is sorted this thread will be dumped so you post count will drop, sorry.

How about having a new member's first few posts moderated, say half a dozen. It won't save you moderators grief, but the threads won't be filled with C**p.

I was reminded of this because I was forced into this when I signed up to a new forum recently.
