Re: JUST ORDERED! I have a few questions?
you will be disappointed. all 80s have the screen defect issue, they just fixed it in the production, so it will take quite some time until 80s without it come out. you cant fix this yourself but i dont think its too annoying.
3g stick is available in europe only.

I've bought :
- the hongkongeek's one : cheap but you need to remove it to use the tablet.
- The newmp3technology's one. very good protection, 700g, leather, vynil and cardboard.
- I'm waiting for the carbon skin from Skinomi.

I have not been disappointed in mine.
Re: JUST ORDERED! I have a few questions?
nba2k11fan,
I wouldn't worry about the "screen defect". It is not actually a screen defect but a property of LCD displays. I have had laptops and PC monitors with the same behavior... pressing on the back causes a dimple on the screen. In general the solution is don't do that.
After using mine for 2 weeks if I see the dimple I move my finger.
Enjoy your new tablet

It's good to read some feedback like this, I agree with you it happens with laptop and others devices than Archos.cosmos wrote:nba2k11fan,

I would disagree with that. There is a real screen defect.cosmos wrote:I wouldn't worry about the "screen defect". It is not actually a screen defect but a property of LCD displays. Just got mine back today from RMA. It had a broken touch screen and the screen defect everyone has mentioned. Archos had mine for over a month waiting for parts. And my repaired tablet is now noticeably stiffer and heavier. They definitely improved the internal case design. Edit: ( was "And they fixed the screen defect as well." ) Now ... They *almost* fixed the screen defect. It is still there, but less noticeable. And on dark backgrounds ( the default it booted with ) hard to see.
