Urukdroid 1.6 RC1 Released

Post by rondinelle »

Just 'cos I haven't seen a post about sauron's return and his release of 1.6 RC1 (with updated firmware to 2.4.19 for those wanting that, and I did for Skype and Google Music...), you can find the download link in sauron's xda post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpos ... count=2115

Enjoy! ;)

I've been running it for a week now. I had a few issues during the upgrade. During boot, Uruk claims that it is 1.6RC1, yet in the last update section in UrukConfig, it still claims 1.5.1. Besides that, my 101 is running smoother than before!

Super fast and rock solid. Why can't archos make their firmware as stable and speedy?

Installed last night, (first time uruk user) and I'm astonished by the speed and stability of it,it's like having a brand new tablet. I was considering getting rid of my 101 but this has made it the tablet it was always meant to be. Think archos need to learn a few lessons.

@bencordy Can you try xscope browser and see if it works ok with UD? If you do try it open multiple tabs and see if it FC's

Thanks in advance

1.6 running well for me.

I use this on top of Uruk and I haven't had a launcher redraw since: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276

Just upgraded to RC2, sadly I'm now struggling to wake the device from sleep. Anyone else got this issue from the RC2 update?

frank, thanks for this... i take it you have to disable compcache and swap in urukconfig (and cpugovernor too?). Just wondering what settings you used in Supercharger to maximize benefit with Gen 8? I had 2 for speed and 6 in 2nd option (for Balanced 3)... Do you use different settings (I have noticeably less lag now on screen redraws, but the occasional hiccup still)...

I havent really toyed with settings since installing either uruk or V6. I have compcache off but swap and governor on at the moment.

Hi, is the Urukdroid 1.6 RC2 already stable? If not, what is the latest stable release of Urukdroid?

1.6 sure seems just as stable as 1.5 for me.
However, 1.5 is the latest full release.

Hi - I upgraded from 1.6 RC1 to RC2 without and problems and it works well. However I had it overclocked to 1200 before on RC1 but now I can't seem to overclock. I also can't find a link for the overclock for RC2. Is anyone able to help? Thanks.
