Hi,

Yesterday I posted a long message about the Arnova 10 to the forum and now
suddenly the (sub)forum seems reverted to september the 27th and my account
and postings are gone. I put quite some time into converting my notes into
understandable English and be helpful in general to the Archos community.
Can you tell me what happened? Was a backup restored or some bug occurred?

Hello Board Administrator,

I joined your board yesterday after surfing on it for a few days.
I racked up a few posts yesterday and today, but now when I try to login it says my username is wrong, and all my posts are gone...

So what gives?

Can you advise me why my account as deleted this morning? Haven't posted anything offensive or challenging, just trying to get some technical knowledge on the pads.

I keep getting an invalid user ID error when I try to log in.

None of those names or email addresses look familar to me. I can say that there are a tremendous amount of spammers here, so they could be posting spam and yanking your chain. Could be a hacker too, but I think if they hacked they would do more damage than that.

I cannot login, when trying to log in I get this error:
"You have specified an incorrect username. Please check your username and try again. If you continue to have problems please contact the Board Administrator."

same here nowt recognised,
the only accounts i delete are the obvious spam accounts and never with valid posts.
I find it hard belive that any of the mods would delete a valid account, maybe they are hackers or spammers? then the accounts would be valid in thier removal.

just another thought - we had all that downtime the other day could that be the cause? maybe the db became corrupted and reverted??
the times are about spot on if memory serves? i personally always ban the email then remove the account so they cannot re register with that email, but looking though i cannot see any of those emails added to the ban list - i went back to the 24th sept.

I do that too, so there should be a log of my email bans although not of the name/post ban. I don't think I ever do a nuke-all of posts without a logged email ban, because the email ban seems the only way out of this spam inundation.
