Two questions

Sorry to start a new thread if this is covered elsewhere.

1. The spec on the 80 states there is a compass. I've tried two apps from the market and it is way out. It pretty much makes south as west, I think, and I've re-calibrated several times. It's always out by the same amount. I planning on using the 80 as gps device when out walking. Any ideas?

2. Is there a way to increase the number of columns on the launcher? I can do this with launcher pro, vtl. It would be good to have eight columns. I had a look at the Samsung 7.7 and it has eight.
