Really wish they'd make a ~4" device with big storage

Archos seems like one of the last companies that are still interested in putting out devices with a decent amount of storage. Unfortunately they seem to have decided to only do it for their larger devices. I'd really like to have an option for an mp3 player with 120+ GB other than an ipod classic.

Even apple doesn't make one. My husband has a ipod classic with 80GB. He'd never be happy with less but I think he'd enjoy an Android or Apple with 120GB in a 4" size and be able to have apps. Maybe I could get him to use a joint calendar then.

It's really only because they can't make hard drives any smaller than laptop sized ones.
However i believe if they took 1 or 2 of these and put them in the device that would work great, however that would make the price of the Archos 43 like $200 more.

I hope that sometime they will make ~45 phone tablet with 250gb. Two years ago they succeeded to put 500gb in 4.8", so why could they now not put a slightly smaller hdd in slightly smaller size? For me, actually, just 16GB+microSD would be enough, but (imo) archos really needs to make a multimedia phone.

Yeah, I bet If they went into the smartphone marketing business they would make a profit, considering they already have a pretty big fanbase.
