Can I safely assume that Flash 10.1 gets installed simply to satisfy the need to provide it so that they actually meet their product description that said Gen 8 comes with it? And therefore its safe to move to the Market 10.3 version? Or is this some special version that has hardware acceleration?

I have no clue yet if my reboot issue is resolved but I sure do wish I lived close enough that I could throw this piece of crap at the company. Now every single file I try to play I get an error "Sorry this player does not support this type of audio file" This is all the same music I've had on here for months. I bought this to replaced an aging Sansa e260 but thought the extra bells and whistles would be nice to have. My mistake, I should have just stayed with an MP3 player. I've used my Sansa twice as often as my 43IT over the last month. TOO MANY products try to do a little of everything, instead of simply doing a few things well. I feel ripped off. Guess I'll have to void my warranty just to get a somewhat usable product.

Lol this must be joke firmware. I just realized I can not even get the wifi to turn on. It just keep saying "error" when you try to turn it on. Wonderful. I suppose if the reboot issue is related to wifi you can solve the reboot issue by simply not letting users have access to wifi. Problem solved.

I would bet that performing a complete wipe would solve any problems that people may be having.
I know you shouldn't have to wipe to have a stable, smooth environment, but I still suggest it.

I'll probably dual-boot this though, so I don't lose root and my 1GB of app space on my modified stock 2.3.26 firmware. I mostly want to use this to test out Flash, because if it's modified to be hardware accelerated for Archos devices, it should be much better than before.

Edit: nvm, I'll probably just do a full wipe and run 2.3.81 as my primary. Looks like Chulri will have a root option out for it in a few hours (probably before I get home from work).

don't get your hopes up regarding flash, really don't see any difference, tested out a number of sites using 10.1 (that came with the update), 10.2, and 10.3 and I don't see any noticeable difference from the previous firmware.

Downlinux, do you see any perforance difference between the version of flash you had installed before vs the version laid down by the FW update?

Is 10.3 still shown for you in the market?

i did not see a performance increase witht the firmware flash, i went back to using surprise 10.2.
10.3 is still in the market for me.

Why 10.2 and not 10.3?

i have just had better luck with 10.2 over 10.3, some sites crash and some sites done under 10.3, where as 10.2 i get very few sites crashing.

I've noticed that the majority of my video's are no longer listed int eh stock video player - have already done a rebuild media index.

I can manually play the movies by selecting them. There is .nomedia file in the folder.

Nothing changed for me.

I still have occasional power light remaining on with a short power button press for deep sleep, and have to do a hard reset in order to turn the A43 off completely because it won't turn back on with a short power button press.

Also the full charge (100%) indicator goes down to the mid-90's too quickly, the same as it did previously.

This update was a waste of time for me, just like the other two 2.3.xx updates!

Ahh well, I'm starting to believe tablets are novelties that wear off rather quickly (at least this one is for me).

I haven't done a complete wipe and reinstall, just a standard Firmware upgrade.

So far, my music player seems to be able to play in standard shuffle mode once again (as opposed to "Party Shuffle" which was the work-around), which I'm very happy to see.
However, I'm still having problems with certain apps like Audiobooks, PocketCasts, and OldTimeRadio where the audio stops when the screen is turned off while running off the battery.
I guess I'll try a complete reinstall next to see if these problems go away, or not. At least, my A32 can play my music in standard shuffle mode without needing to be rebooted every second or third song (so far)!

Something of notice: They did change the detail to get to the FW link. And there is this added detail. This suggestion for RESET is likely going to be a problem for some as I interpret it. This might indicate the FW digs deeper on the App side than previously. My question in relation to this statement will be: Does it impact Android Market installs.

Only happens for "phone headsets", with a simple one without the mic and button it is working normal.

Probably isn't OTA yet in your area. You can either wait or update "manually" or not update at all.

Performed a standard update (file in root folder then reboot) everything sweet and no problem.

I believe Flash 10.1 has been included as they have finally got their official approval. Updates can then be performed as normal...

Holy Crap! THANK YOU!!!!! This has been driving me crazy, I never even though of testing it out with a regular pair of headphones, just tried it now, and as you said it works with no problems!!

Had the same with the Moto Milestone headset.

Now switched to a Plantronics BackBeat 903+ ( BT ), way better for sport.
