HDMI Issue

Hi Guys,

So I tested my HDMI a few months ago on several TVs and it worked with my A70.

Since the 2.3.20 update my HDMI isnt working, i follow the guide and in settings select switch to tv, settings close and the homescreen is shown but doesnt comnect, the screens stays on, any ideas? Tested om several TVs and its not the HDMI lead,

So after connecting your HDMI cable, etc. when you select "Switch to TV" on your A7o, does the A7o screen go black for about 10 seconds?

When you select "Switch to TV", are you seeing the message on the A7o to "Please connect your device to a TV first."

If the screen on the A7o doesn't go black for 10 seconds or so, then the tablet is not sensing that it has a functioning HDMI connection. Are you 100% sure your cable is good?

In Settings/TV Out, when the HDMI cable is unplugged it's grey out, when I plug the HDMI cable in I can then select it, but all i get then is the desktop is shown and nothing else. The cable works, It's worked with the A70 before, but after these firmware updates it stopped. I've also tried the cable with my HD Camcorder and still works fine, so must be the Archos.

Time to give Archos a call - I'd imagine the words "Re-format" will come into the conversation somewhere.

I just tested my 70 with my hdmi cable. Some times it comnects others the tv screen flashes and it goes back to the tablet. I tested the cable on 2 other dvices and its fine. So I guess I can confirm some type of issue is pressent since the update. Going to see if maybe its other software. I do know Archos made chwnges they didn't tell us about like removing weather from stock clock app.
