Help! STILL have problems charging A70

Ok, getting seriously frustrated now, I have tried all of the below but still having problem. It seems to charge when it feels like it, but other times (which is most of the time) simply wont go beyond about 47% and yes I am definitely plugging jack into DC hole not the earphone one. It sits there with the solid green light for hours, and when I go to check on it it still reads the same percentage as when started charge!!!

1. I turn off all running applications not in use.
2. I DONT have a Live wallpaper running.
3. I make sure WiFi is off.
4. Power switch off with quick press to put into low power mode.
5. Given power switch long press to shut down power.
6. Given power switch long press and rebooted.

and also, having recently read that the A70 doesnt take kindly to extension or surge plugs, now make sure I plug directly into wall.
Its safe to say Im running out of ideas now. Anyone else out there having similar problems that maybe knows the answer I would love to hear from them please. Dont really relish the thought of sending it back as in every other way I love it!

Oh and yes, when I first got it just 2 weeks ago, I fully charged it before using it no problems. Im wondering if the recent update may have caused this? although I havent as yet heard any other reports of problems in this area.

If I were you I'd try another charger. A few weeks ago my A101 stopped charging (even though it showed every sign of charging except, well, actually increasing the battery charge), after it had worked fine for a few months. Tried everything I could think of and finally bought a generic adjustable charger, which worked like a charm and has since. It's set to to 5V at which the max current was 2,5A (minimum for charging the tablet is 2A I believe), positive polarity in the middle. Probably worth a try before sending it back.

I,ve been having the same for about 4 days - my battery level was slowly decreasing and I reckon 4 or 5 more days until it was dead and unbootable, so I set about preparing it for rma, removing sensitive data etc and rempving all trace of root apps inc Archangel temp root, setcpu, titanium backup, sdcard speedboost and superuser. My device immediately started to recharge - one of these apps was causing the problem, I will try to re-install them one at a time. You may want to try uninstalling some apps to see if your problem is the ame as mine - I don't know if you are rooted but it may not neccessarily be the same apps that are your problem. Good luck

It could be that the environment temperature is low.

I can recall another post early in the life of the A70, where the owner was having problems charging which he put down to the temperature - i personally don't accept that scenario and certainly not in my case, as it isn't cold any more
