100 dangerous apps to avoid installing on your Archos

The British guardian newspaper has listed over 100 apps that have been infected with a terribel malware that can still credit card details from your android device.

Please take note and do quickly uninstall any apps you have that are in the x-list

We might be less vulnerable due to not being a phone and difficulty of establishing root. Would some smarty pants like to comment on our vulnerability to technique outlined in http://intrepidusgroup.com/insight/2010 ... -c-skills/ ?

That was an odd blog, with misspellings and all. They said google removed these, but I see Piano still on the market (maybe cleaned up, or another one?).

Now in hindsight after this scare about insecure Android Market Place now I understand why Apple has made its own apps store ringed with a blast -proof concrete wall, Surface to air missiles units and a no-fly zone 24/7. I believe makes the Apple app store more secure then busting into the NSA HQ.

I am not an Iphone or iPod touch owner, but for months I have been laughing at the way frustrated iphone/ipod touch owners and developers complained about the rigidity of the app store. Meanwhile we Android/Archos owners and developers were enjoying free unrestricted access to Android market, with a wooden door a small kid could gain access too.

Now we Android/Archos owner all have eggs on our faces, and am laughing no more.

I suggest that Google NOW apply Apple-style security locks on its Android market. Anyone who wants to put a new app in the Android Market, will have it triple-checked for viruses, bacteria, fungi, malware, spy cams, spy ware, spy bots, etc etc etc before it gets approve.

P.S. meanwhile I will not be installing anymore apps onto my Archos 43 until further notice, except the temptation to install Angry birds and Stupid Zombies, as these are too addictive to resist installing!!
