Honestly? I looked around everywhere until I decided that archos.ca was the cheapest way to get it. I emailed to ask about how long the wait would be was and Scott told me that the 16gb queue was shorter, so I ordered that one. I live about an hour and a half south of Burlington.

That's why you got it so quick, the 16 GB are shipping faster. I order my 8 GB at the end of November and it just arrived also.

Hi, I'm new to the forum, but I've been reading you guys for weeks (actually months) now.
I preordered a 10.1 8G end of December, Scott answered to a couple of emails but he's not answering to my last 2 or 3 messages, is anyone else in the same situation as me? I also tried to call him without any success.
don't you think he'd at least tell us our position in the delivery list?

Hi everyone

I ordered my 8gb 10.1 in november last year and it was supposedly shipped on dec 14th. However i live in Australia and the estimated delivery time was 7 working days. I have still not recieved my preordered product and im waiting on the results of a Canada Post investigation for scott to claim insurance and post me another one. I was happy with scotts service up until this disaster happened and as much as its not his fault and he has been fairly patient with me i am starting to get extremely frustrated that it has taken this long for anything to be done about it.

Well I finally have my 101 8gb in my hand. It was dispatched from Canada on 1st March, arrived today.
So exactly 1 week shipping time from Canada... not too bad.
It's charging at the moment, so we'll see how we go.

Of course now that we're all finally getting our tablets amazon.ca has started selling the 8G archos for $297.20 (free shipping). A 2-4 week wait according to their web site.

That's not surprising. Just means that Archos is getting some supply out to everyone.

Hey everyone. I decided to post to update people and thank people on here. This is Scott from Archos.ca hotmp3gear.com etc etc.
Firstly I want to thank everyone for the amazing patience with me getting these units to them. Its been a nightmare for me. Ive done my best responding to 400+ emails per day and giving as accurate information as I could to my customers. Ive been doing this for 12 years and this has been the biggest challenge I have had since selling Archos products.

Unfortunately Archos has provided promises and dates they have not stuck to since Archos France has often changed their allocation numbers to Archos North America so often dates I give have not been as accurate as I would have liked. A component shortage and huge demand has caused the unnaceptable delays.

If anyone has not received responses to emails its because I have not received the emails. I carry a blackberry with me 24 hours a day and it even sits on my bed when I sleep so I can respond quickly to customers.

We are finally gettin close to caught up and have 70s, 43s, 32s and 48s all for immediate shipment and short waits on the 101s.

As a small guy I have a tough time competing with the huge resellers and have been selling Archos for more than 10 years now. (does anyone remember the Archos 6000)

I really appreciate the confidence many have had in me with their orders and their hard earned money.

I will continue to provide the best support in the business since I am also a huge Archos fan and use all the products.

Everyone,

we have to appreciate Scott's work. I did wait exactly 3 months for my 101 and it was well worth the wait.
When I contacted Scott wrt/ delivery etc I got nearly immediate response - even when it was well after midnight in Eastern Canada, you won't find that anywhere else.

Let's hope that 101 delay mess gets to 0days soon. I will order my second 101 with Scott again.

Thanks again for everyones patience. Wait time is now 0. i just got orders I placed with Archos in Dec yesterday and all orders filled and product available.
