Hi folks,
Can anyone talk me through installing SDE and downgrading to an older firmware?
I know it voids the warranty, but the newest firmware is laggy as hell and id rather have a tablet I can use than a £250 paper weight.
Where can I find a download of older, stable firmwares?

Other (older) firmwares are available and a follow-me do as I say set of steps can be provided but pause and wait a moment....promithius wrote:Hi folks,

Of the various complaints levied against 2.1.08, I dont recall 'terrible lag' being one of them, certainly not repeatedly. So before embarking on a path that affects your warranty, consider alternatives first.
- 1) Try re-installing 2.1.08.
2) If no improvement, reset the Android System using the Recovery Menu) and re-install again.
3) Next if you still have problems consider a reformat. It will cost you a reinstall of apps and you lose your media files but it preserves your warranty (and with the questionable reliability that could be very important).
I would definitely exhaust alternatives before commiting to an SDE installation JUST TO ALLOW f/w reversion.
