got a newbie tip. Unfortunately there no good place to find info on this forum, it spread out everywhere, a thread that asks a question doesn't always get a answer just more questions.

So - for those of you that want to set your wallpapers up correctly without stretching them, multipicture live wallpaper is a good app to do that and a tutorial on how it works and how to set it up can be found here.

Thanks Allen

Multi picture live wallpaper looks really good. The video on youtube is very thorough but it doesnt say what size pictures you have to use. Does anyone know?

I'm going to post here because it's current and the topic is relevant. I'm not new to computers, I have a rooted HTC Incredible with a custom rom..so I have some idea of what I am doing...but why in the WORLD can I NOT get my wallpapers to look good on my Archos 70? I have tried everything, I even downloaded wallpapers that someone said were made for it...and everything just looks crappy. I read thru the forum that talked about resizing wallpapers for the archos 5, thinking that would at least give me some ideas, and it still looks like crap. I know they are supposed to be 960 by 800, and that the A70 only uses the top 300 something pixels of the picture, so how do I get a full picture to show up???

EDIT* HA..I'll watch the Youtube video you posted first...sorry.

OK, so I watched it and I get it. Thats not really what I wanted, but I guess it works. I can not believe that there is no other way to get the pics to fit and still have it scroll thru like it does on the phones.
So this is it?

Thank you very much. I don't know why that hasn't shown up when I've searched for wallpaper posts. It might be because it is for the 101 so maybe I disregarded it. Either way it's very helpful. I'm not sure I can accomplish what they talk about doing but I am going to try. :)

I will contribute to the topic also. I used an app called "Crop Wallpaper" today. It's not exactly what I wanted, but I got a nice picture out of it.
I'll keep my eyes open for anything else that might be helpful.
Thanks again.

There's also a thread over on XDA-Developers but I cant seem to find it now. Might be worth having a look over there too.

It's kind of weird I couldn't find the Multi picture live wall paper app in the market. I tried the market clear cache>forcestop and market framework clear data too and restarted it. Still I couldn't find the app can someone upload the app please.

I tried the app brain but it is not working out, I tried installing appbrain app and even the web fast installer but unable to install it as the device couldn't find it in the google market. It is kind of getting frustrating to use the Archos most of the things are not straight forward. If somebody can upload the app it would be helpful.

I'm going to try and make some wallpapers. I'm no expert but thought I'd give it a try. I have started a thread for them here:

multipicture live wallpaper works a treat on my archos 70 250 i just set default screen to all , tick fit to screen and hey presto perfect high definition wallpaper with no crop . BTW I'm using adw with no scrolling , stock launcher works but dims the picture for a moment when swiping , solid as a rock with adw.

long press on home screen, then wallpaper ,then live wallpaper , and pick multipicture and up comes the settings :) if you want single picture which uses hardly any memory and battery up set default screen to all homescreens and disable scrolling wallpaper in launcher . obviously cant do that in stock one though ;)
