I just did it on my 70 and all is working fine. Takes like 20 sec to root. So far so good.. Set the permanent root and rebooted and it stayed rooted. Set setcpu to 1000/600 ghz and everything is running fine. Uninstalled a couple apps. Neat! You can get it here

Think you mean Mhz not ghz. Also the device runs at 1000Mhz anyway and by setting the lowest CPU speed to 600 all you will do is kill the battery quicker.

Out of curiousity, what did you uninstall? Would those apps have been installed if you did not select the option to install third-party apps? (I opted out of that when I first set up my A70.)

And not directed at melax, but now what? I mean, I haven't yet taken the time to root it this way, but what have some users actually done to the A70 that makes this (rooting via the archangel apk) worthwhile in doing? I'm referring to what "has actually been done" vs. what "can theoretically be accomplished when rooting a device." (Not trying to sound snotty, just want to make a clarification in my question.)

All the best!

Once rooted you can do things like uninstall system apps, disable apps from starting when the system starts and edit the hosts file to block adverts.

Do you need a special program for that?

Seems to be working for me as well. Titanium managed to access root and do it's backup. Now to play with some of the bloatware...

I'm thinking twice on this again. Normally I trust xda but this dev is not getting any credibility at all. He replied once on xda that it's not malicious. He's not being proactive in that thread at all. A few more days of waiting wont hurt.

It allows you to change you screen resolution. default is 160. Changing it to 180 is perfect for me atleast.

Everything is Lager in the after shot. The Font is the most noticeable and I only did a minor change. You can go as high as 300.

Is lower the number the better the screen or larger the number better the screen?
