I plug my iPod into the car (direct jack) and am sick of being deafened when I turn off the auxiliary input. Doesn't happen with older players like my 1gb Zen Stone, cos that has a sensible volume level.

Bit of an odd question, but how does an Archos level of 40 compare to other players, such as an iPod?
