Just got the unit back yesterday...

It's going back again today.

The column where the android buttons are in landscape mode doesn't respond anymore.

Tried screen calibration - not helpful.

Re-format, not helpful.

If I rotate the device so that the buttons are at a different location, they work fine.

It's obvious a hardware defect. Archos agreed to pay for shipping, which is good, I guess...

Since I bought the thing in Nov., I haven't really had a chance to enjoy it...

I wish they improve the build quality. How long will these things last? a year? That makes them more expensive than other candidates...

it's dead...

when u rotate the device so that column is on the top, the notification bar can't be pulled down.

touch and hold that area, doesn't bring up the soft menu to add shorts either.

the support guy was really nice though.

he apologize for the inconvenience, offered free shipping and possible upgrade to 2nd air when they ship it back.

it's the last time I am doing this. if it broke again, i will see if i can return or resell after repair.

i like it when it's working. maybe i just have bad luck or something...
