Has anyone been able to get google sky to work on their device mine crashes the whole tab.

Same here. Had to reboot.

My gut feeling is that it's not working because it has no GPS fix to base anything on. Even though there's the location-by-wifi (w/e it's called), it's looking for true coordinates. It probably won't work without a paired gps mouse or gps-enabled phone. =-[

I got google sky to work on the Archos 70 2.2. You need to use version 1.5. You can find it here... http://www.freewarelovers.com

Given that Google sky uses a compass to see which way you are facing I doubt it will be of much use even if you can get it working.
