Is the media scanner browsing my network evey startup? Coz it's counter 800+ media files even tho the only thing on the archos are 20 episodes of an anime and five music videos.

EDIT:
Turns out the contents of .arcthumb and .thumbnails are also showing up on the gallery, so the 800 files are probably them. I've deleted most but they're still showing up as the thumbnails are regenerated.

I just got a new Router (WZR-HP-G300NH), my netbooks wifi bandwidth upload went up from 800KBps, all the way up to U/D 12MBps/3MBps. The netbook now read 135mbps connection with security settings disabled.

However, the Archos 101 is still 54mbps. Is it supposed to be able to go higher? Or is this the limit?

I had assumed that the reason it's stuttering over Wifi was the lack of bandwidth since it plays fine when played from the sd card. But even with a wifi-n router it's still stuttering and the bandwidth meter on the netbook still maxes out at 800KBps.

When i'm doing a straight copy. The bandwidth goes to a steady 1MBps.

Mediascanner seams to be brocken.
I now have the thumbnails thumbnailed.

That means everytime the scanner starts the get more and more.

I have around 300 Pictures on the internal Memory ( SD is not working as stated earlier )
but the thumbnailfolder has 3759 pictures.

After Sleepmode ( Ruhezustand ) for a night Wifi only shows Error.
I have to reboot to get Wifi back.

Mediascanner is behaving better after "Reset multimedia library".

Issue with the directory playback mode on the video player.

Instead of playing the next video i get an error ("Codec AAC Profile and Level is not supported"). But if i play the next video manually, it plays fine.

Also sometimes I'll be watching movie then back out of the media player, come back at a later time to finish it and when selecting the resume feature it will either start over, or give me the video "can't be played" error and I'll have to start the video all over again.

the error at end of video is fixed.

Where can you get the Charbax version. I have been unable to get any of the Asphalt versions to work. it seems as though the sd card mapping is a little different than other Android devices.
