Z4Root + LCDDensity Close to Permanent Root

Post by bhmm »

Guys,

Discovered that using Z4Root to temp root. Then later on utilzing the LCD Density app for any reboot needs works really well. It's kind of you rebooting without loosing your root and having to reapply all of your tweaks...Soft rebooting
LCD Density has a soft boot. Which in my case have solved my Bluetooth Tethering issues which sometimes required a full reboot and thus leadin me to loose my temp root ans settings... Now If Bluetooth Tethering stops working I do not have to use regular reboot...Only go LCD Density and use it's soft reboot and there we go I can do Tether again without loosing my Temp Root.

Credit for this comes from a Jensbin from XDA site.

This is close to permanent root....Not exactly the same as permanent root but better than Z4Root alone.

I was using hot reboot not realizing lcd density got soft boot too. Thanks. Each app I can uninstall, the more space I have on that tiny 300MB app space...

Just curious is there anyway to utilize this when dealing with a major freeze. Because really that is my main issue. Is there a way to set it to soft reboot when it freezes and you need to push the power as an option. Would be nice. :o
