it will connect to the pc for like 1 second then suddenly it disconnects and just charges

Your request is vague, please reply with the platform and operating system you are using.
Failing that, try resetting your Archos 3 Vision. All aberrant behaviour on my Archos 3 Vision has been resolved by using this method.
