work toward 2.0.38 not shared with beta group -- why?

AMC crashes all of the time with Firmware 2.0.38, as I reported in the Archos 5 forum. I am left wondering why work towards this release was not shared with this beta group. Certainly, I would have reported the issue as I play music and video using AMC most of the time.

you know what i was thinking excatly the same thing about an hour before i saw this post. Ive been using this firmware since i got the message and since i updated ive had so many amc crashes its really started to annoy me. the usual one im getting is the indexing, ive cleared my machine of twice and it still happens, even now when ive got less than 2 gb of music and no videos on there.
these faults would have very quickly been picked up if it was beta released first - i dont know about you guys but my players stretch their legs for me an average of 13hrs per day playing audio and video so any faults become apparent very quickly.
im wondering if this gen has now been consigned to history......
