Best Method In Charging The Battery.

As i am a newbie to the Archos 5 500GB Internet Tablet i have read conflicting methods about charging the battery,some say turn the unit on others say turn it off so what i would like to know is this...what is the best method in charging the batter also is there certain apps/programs i should turn off to promote the battery lasting longer when watching a recorded movie on the unit ? and if so how do i turn them off ?
Sorry if i sound like a "thicko" but i will not learn if i do not ask.

I always charge with either dvr or batt dock because I have these at hand and I find that leaving on charge for that bit extra after light starts blinking means you have full charge when you disconnect.

Try system monitor (on second home screen) to shut down all processes if wanting to dedicate full resources to vid playback.

I was curious too....but I believe I saw something on Wikianswers that said its better to leave it on to charge. But, then again wikianswers isn't always the best.

I may give tech support a call tomorrow and i'll let you know.

Keep it on. That's how it was designed to charge, which is why it will turn itself on if you plug it in while it's off.
