Yeah, they made the same mistake on the English page but corrected it very quickly. Maybe they forgot the French page?

I assume you are inquiring about the thinkfree issue. Yes we found the problem, it is a side effect of the migration of thinkfree outside the firmware (maybe we should not do it...).
If you manually de-install thinkfree and re-install it it should work.

bragon, dont please dont force us to implement thinkfree, i have never used it and it was just taking up valuable space in the android memory.......
im sure there are a few ppl that use is but most probally wont like most of the bundled software.... high paying jobs anyone out side the us!!...
how about an unbundled firmware for those that only want android with amc.
My moto milestone has some bundled software and its most annoying, facebook app keeps asking for an update - yet i dont and wont use facebook anymore...and the bleeder wont uninstall...
cheers

I'll second that. I know one of the constant recurrent complaints on the forum is about the lack of app space and Thinkfree is a bloated monster of an app at over 12 MB, especially for those of us (most of us?) that don't use it.

Are you in 1.8.55? Use uninstall application, you should be able to do it.

I think that I understood the request and try to make people like you happy. This of course introduces regressions. Please also note that only thinkfree is buried in the readonly part of the flashed firmware: all other apps you can deinstall or choose in the course of the wizard to not install these apps.

agreed, but it needs to be made clear to the end user that they can opt out of the bundled software by disagreeing with the eula, maybe on the download page state this - i didnt realise this for a while - and im a old hand with archos now..
I hardly think its regressive having a vanilla copy on the download list, it could be one to try and see what gets the most hits...

anyways im off to try the 3d acceleration now with asphalt... wish me luck lol.
thanks for the feed back

Hey Bragon, we completely respect you for trying to be helpful and listening to us. :D

We're just also hoping that Archos will choose to fix the bugs cause by making ThinkFree uninstallable rather than just giving up and making it read-only (and uninstallable) again.

We know it's more work, but it's also a very good thing that would make many current owners with limited app space (and that's most of us) very happy.
