Archos 7 charging question
Hello all...so, I've had a archos 5 in my work truck as an mp3 player for quite some time and it's been great. I have a laptop mounted n the truck with a few usb ports that I just leave it plugged in to the laptop with the charge only option. Thus I never have to worry about battery life. Anyhow, I recently got an archos 7 which I mounted to my visor for movie purposes. Anyhow, when I plug in the usb cable, I dont get the option to choose between charge only and enable usb. It goes straight to "USB cable attached-Windows Media Device." Is there a setting I need to change? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

As far as i know you can only charge the Archos 7 by the mains cable, USB doesn't work.Johnny Potatoes wrote:Hello all...so, I've had a archos 5 in my work truck as an mp3 player for quite some time and it's been great. When i got my A7 i thought i was knackered as it wasn't charging through USB, so i read about it and believe its charge by mains only

Johnny Potatoes,
You can use a cigarette lighter adapter/cable if your truck has a port.
