Impossible to manipulate files into a micro-sd card with media center : no delete, no bookmark.

not impossible you can still edit / copy and delete, but you need to go in though file browser.

but your correct about the book mark feature, are there plans to implement this nz like it was on the 05 range?

OK, installed and tested out a few games. Not good so far.

Uno by Gameloft does this...

It runs, but with half its screen not allocated, although you can press on the undisplayed bits (it you look closely you'll see the rectangle that it allocated for drawing its graphics is in the wrong orientation for whatever reason).

Tetris just force closes immediately upon drawing the 'EA' screen.

Retro Defense installs and runs fine, but I can't get either the top menu bar or the button bar to appear when I select them from the 'Device Options' menu.

very strange
many applications don't see FULLSCREEN with i click on the ON/OFF

perhaps many games used the fullscreen in the Android Code
for the compatiblity with all devices

Never had this happen ever. So perhaps this is a new issue under 1.7.65?

I was not doing anything (prior) out of the ordinary, then when I went to start the Archos music player I got the following message:

Media Center features are currently not available. Please check again in a few seconds.

I then checked "again in a few seconds," but nothing changed, still got the same message. Only a reboot allowed me to get into AMC. Anyone else? Ever? On this firmware?

All the Gameloft games are not in full screen. It was the same thing since september : CSI Miami, Assassin's Creed, New York Night, Gangstar 2, Night At The Museum, Prince Of persia, Spiderman ... The games plax, Asphalt 3 too.
But it's the first time I see something like that : not in the good direction.

Internet browser -> Search.
When I change keyboard page, the search engine close.
For exemple, to go to http://pilote-virtuel.com : I enter "pilote", change the keyboard page to enter "-", when I want to return to the letters keyboard, the search engine close. It's the same if the url contains digits.

Theses features are not in the changelog 1.7.65 :

(From 1.7.54
- network: allow power users to edit wpa_supplicant.conf file for customization using adb (e.g. for wpa-eap connection)
- network: allow power users to edit tiwlan.ini file for customization using adb (e.g. for enabling adhoc networking)
- accessory: unbreak unsupported tvsnapon

Are they still available ?


I can't test because :
the adb drivers (ftp archos) do not work with my PC.

A other thing (not the firmware) : the install exe for Window 7-64 (archos.com) does not work to. Without : exe crashs at the first page. With : exe crashs at the 5th page. We need to copy some parts of dvd into the Archos, try, try again, crash, before install NDrive.

It'd be nice if Task Manager was always available through On/Off, even and most especially when the rest of the device is frozen for some reason. Then Task Manager should list the openned apps in order of the ones that consume the most memory, click to close those tasks hopefully then recovers the Archos so reboot is not required anymore.

I think modifying the web browser to support short press volume + and - to go "Next Tab" and "Previous Tab" and if only one tab is opened then short press on volume + should open a new tab. That only when the browser is in use at the front of the user interface..

It'd be nice all apps could go full screen and back on On/Off button, when in full screen On/Off short press bring back the frame first before other On/Off features..

I dunno, perhaps it'd be best that On/Off really manage most of the things including Full Screen On/Off, force bringup Task Manager other few such things..

Another problem with the 1.7.71 : I can't create thumbnails / bookmarks when I launch the music from the file manager.
This function worked very well with the old firmwares...
