I aplogoies if this question had already been asked and previously answered but i would really appreiciate some help.
I have an Archos AV 700 80GB. On it is stored home footage and some motorsport from my younger days (recently transfered from old videos i had)
when i connect to my PC to load the footage on it it originally popped up with "New Hardware found" then it comes up with "Welcome to the found new Harware Wizard" and requests i insert insert an installation CD or floppy disc insert it now".
Mine didnt, as it was bought off eBay (but new). the words USB cable attached appears on the Archos screen but thats as far as ive got ! Where do i go from here ?
I tried clicking on the button that says "install the software automatically (recommended)" but it just searches for a few seconds and then says, "the hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software".
Any help would be appreaicted.

You may already have worked this out by now. In the system file (in "display set up screen"). There is a "usb port" option. This needs to be set to hard drive and then your computer should recognise it and not ask for software.
