Battery Life
Bought 405 a couple of months ago and have been very impressed - until the last week. Appears to be fully charged via USB cable with flashing green light as indicated. Unplug device and shut down, but if then switch on some 8 hours later not having used it, it shows battery as nearly empty. Works for about 20 minutes and then shuts down. Can anyone suggest a problem / solution? Note numerous threads on forum re battery life.

probo hadnt shut down properlly, mine does this all the time, when you suspend it check the green light it out if not do a complete shutdown. i generally find this happens all the time when i take it off the full dock but not with usb so much (but it does occasional happen). i always just completly shut it down if im not using it straight away - battery life is to precious on that player.
if not then the battery may be on its last leggs, the 405 battery life was never much to write home about in the first place, it just runs tooo hot for unknown reasons. my 605 is also a sd version but generates very little heat in comparison.
