White Screen when loading any flash games

i put all the swf files i downloaded in the "Flash" folder. When turn on my archos, i update the libarary, then it shows up under Widgets>Flashgames. but when i click on any of them, i get a white screen. i can get out the white screen anytime i want. just that no games are working. just a blank white screen.

any help appreciated

Do you have a list of games you added? Not all the flash games work on thr Archos

in Some games if you open with opera are more faster...

If you want to pass trough the white screen, try to make a webpage (simply with frontpage) opening your flash game

for some games it works and you can resize any game...

Try to google "Flash Decompiller"
The only thing I can do is remove sounds, ads, images from a SWF file...

this usually means that you need a more current Flash version to play the game, because it requires the latest version...
I know, Archos shouts "Flash 9 compatible" everywhere, but it says "compatible" which means it has Flash Lite 2.0 (or 3.0) installed which runs most Flash 9 apps, but is not real Flash 9, because it lacks some functions and classes (also Flash 10 is out, already).

The only solution is to decompile the game and compile it again with Flash 8 or Flash Lite, but some games might make use of the "Real-Flash9-exclusive" functions and so will never work (for now) on the player (also decompiling sometimes just f*cks up the code), so don't hope for too much...

Oh, and if anyone with some Flash experience wants to spend his time on some real Flash work and not dumb decompiling, contact me...

PS: forgot to mention that some Flash apps are protected, which means they can't be properly decompiled, just in case you are wondering, why a particular game just wont work.

None of the line rider games work either and the super smash bros z episodes 5 through seven don't work either, thanks in advance

You seem to see as some "code-monkeys" who do the job for you.
You don't need to have much knowledge of Flash to decompile and re-compile Flash apps, so why don't you do it yourself.
Furthermore as I said in my post some new apps simply need Flash 9 or 10 so decompiling won't help. You can't say which in particular so you'll need to try it. If you really want to have these movies on your A5/A7 (they won't run properly on the 605, that's for sure) try to de- and re-compile them, but I don't see much point in this, because these are just movies which you won't watch more than jus a few time so why do all the work for just a few minutes viewing pleasure.

I can't see why the line-rider games don't work, but I won't have a deeper look into this because probably everyone could do it and it just seems like a waste of time (also it's a very primitive and boring job to watch the progress bar of a compiler advancing...). Creating your own games is way more fun.

This may seem really stupid, but I had the same problem.

Make sure that you have purchased the web browser plug in
and update your firmware the the newest version.

that did it for me.

Hi,
I been working on this, and i make a sort of trick to "convert" this Pacman game to work with Archos 5 & 7.

The whole process goes like this:
-Catch the .swf from the game web page
-Decompile with Flash Decompiler Trillix http://www.flash-decompiler.com/
-Edith with Flash (at least ver MX = in order to insert buttons for used keys in game
(also remove links to web pages which causes error and resets on archos flash player
and any undesirable graphic)

Check the converted and working on A5&7 game, and let me know what do you think.
Also If you know any other game you like me to try to convert let me know.
