When I got my archos, I read through the manual and then put it for the first time charge. Then I got bored, so I switched it on and played about with it. Could this damage my archos? And also what is the average time for usb charging?
Im probably going to get the dvr dock as this is supposed to be faster charging.

I think its something like 8-12 hours for a full charge using USB. You should probably leave it charge for 12 hours the first time you charge it. There shouldnt be any major negative implication of not doing this, but I it will improve the life of the battery if you do. Charge it fully, let it run completely and then charge fully again. Repeat this a few times and it should improve the overall life of the battery.

I did think that my archos could do with better battery life, like it seems im listening to a couple of songs, then i look back at the battery and theres about three bars gone.
