Error 104 troubles? Please HALPMEHS!

I got the Error 104 thing when i turned my Archos back on after surfing the web a few hours ago.
It gives me three options, Repair, Format disk, or no.
I chose repair, and it told me to "install an update file".
So I uploaded the most recent firmware to it, and it seemed like it was working.
it restarted, and it worked fine.
But next time i turned it back off and on, i got the same error.
So i fixed that with the firmware.
Worked one time again, then it had the white screen with the Error 104.

Any ideas how to functionalize it?
Only had it for a week and a half >.<

I don't own a 605 anymore, but I did a google search and found this site:

what unit model ? 4 gb ? 30 gb ?

was the sd card installed ? remove and try without.

if still getting error, then a rma or return to store is what i recommend.

I have a 4gb, and the sd card WAS in.

I followed the FixYa thing, and it worked fine.
The screen loaded up, and worked for a bit.
But then afte I turned it off, and later turned it on, the same 104 error came up.
So i put the firmware back on, and after working one time, it didnt work again.
By the way, this is with the sd card out.

Erm, I don't have proof of purchase, as I got it from Craigslist 2 weeks ago.
How long does the "rma" last from when it is bought (direct from archos.store)?

Also like, I reformatted it in the fray of things, would the internet browser plug-in stay?

A year

and you need the original purchase id, and original email address to retrieve the plugin from the archos website again.

Hmmm, instead of getting an RMA, I tooled around with the Archos, deleted some files with weird names, and gave it some time to chill .

Now it works fine, with the exception of the usual casual freezes while interwebbing.
