604 mpeg's/mp2 software

Question:
Can anyone send me the URL to the page that has the following info:
When trying to play some of my video downloads it says:

to play video with mpeg2/mp2 you need to purchase a software plugin which is available at archos.com
I can't find this anywhere on the website.

OR is there a software (easy to use & download) that can convert mpeg's to avi's to play on the 604??
any help greatly appreciated!!!

if you get 3gp converter thats great for basic recording.it was originally made for psp,but it converts the video into mp4 sp at different bitrates and resolution.btw its free.

thanks - I've got just about everything converted now!

On a few of the items the video does not match the audio after the conversion - I saw some other posts where this was happening to other people too. It's not consistent which makes it odd but the software doesn't allow for any tweaking or adjustments as I've seen people suggest.


If anyone has this on their 604 (consistently or you've remedied the prob) I'd like to hear about it.

try this free software! called super@

it converts everything but lets you do a lot of tweaking as well!

theres a post in there forums of some guy who gives settings to use on the 604! .....worth checking out!
