I think it's been released this monday in USA, Europe and China..

I ordered mine at http://hotmp3gear.com for 599$.

hotmp3gear.com sends as gift, so you most often save the import taxes.. it's best for Archos fans outside of USA and Canada.

In the USA you've got lots of resellers.. Just lookup for the prices at http://pricegrabber.com and http://froogle.com, just type Archos 404, Archos 504 or Archo 604.. For example 404 is at 269$, 504 40GB at 289$, 604 is available at TheNerds.net 504 80GB at 312$, 351$, and 504 160GB at 523$

Hi, the postman might have been past while I was out for now.. I need to check it out and call them.

I think hotmp3gear should be able to send with UPS or something, here I am getting a slow 1-week package delivery which is because I think that I forgot to ask for UPS express.

When I have it I will make some nice HD video review of it and post it here..

The 504 80 gigger is a little chunky so i can imagine how fat the 160 gigger might be! It really doesn't make it "portable" once it gets too heavy or fat imo.

I think that the 504 with 40, 80 and 160GB actually are the same size and weight..

It's 7mm fatter and 60 grams heavier than the 604.. and might also have longer battery life, maybe something like 50%, thanks to its larger battery.

Actually, the batter difference for video between the 604 and the 504 80 gigger is just 30 minutes more on the 504! However, for audio, its considerably higher (5 hours).

Why is it that only a couple of sites sell the 160GB 504 and yet on Archo's web page it's only for pre-sale and won't be shipping until mid October?
I want to purchase it along with the DVR station, but the only site that I know of that has both is hotmp3gear.com. I don't feel secure ordering from that site, especially when you place the order and have to fill out the info. It doesn't have those "Hacker Safe" or "Verisign Secured" logos.

Do you guys know of any other site that sells both the 504 160GB and the DVR station?

JQ24, hotmp3gear.com uses paypal to receive payments.. paypal is kindof regarded as secure, it's used by all payments on ebay and stuff like that. The only thing is you need to trust the seller.. I can tell you he is cool, and possibly other people on this forum or at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/archosmultimedia can say he is cool, and people at jbmm.fr also order sometimes from him. Basically the cool thing is he marks shipments as gift so you normally don't have to pay taxes on top if you import it to Europe for example.

But more than 8 days since he shipped my 504 160GB and I haven't received it yet, he is going to check with Canada post tonight. I would recommend you ask him to ship using UPS or DHL if you order from him. I forgot to specify that I didn't mind paying 20$ or so extra for UPS. Then it would have been just a 3-4 days shipping time, Canada post even express is probably kind of slow, supposed 7 day to Europe, and for my case it's gonna be even more than 7 days.

hotmp3gear.com didn't have the DVR station in stock when I ordered, so I am only getting the Docking Station and the DVR travel adapter, which he did a special price for in a package with the 504.

So I am planning to import the DVR station from a site at http://preissuchmachine.de
