Do you have any other peripherals that you can test your wifi network with and if so are they getting a stable connection? If not, than the communication between your modemn and the access point is the issue. If so, than it's an archos/android issue.

Have you tried using your tablet without activating security on your modem/access point and seeing if it works?

You also might be using a crowded channel. Download "Wifi Analyzer" and take a look at your wifi spectra to figure out which channel is the best for your area.

I've got my G9 rooted using firmware 4.0.7. I can see if I can replicate you problem, but I need access to a similar video file. Can you drop a short file with the video codec your having issues with into a file sharing folder (maybe like dropbox) and then provide the link?

Are you saying after having your screen on for a certain amount of time, the screen goes white and then putting it into sleep mode and taking it back out using the power button fixes it temporarily?

Agreed. If still under warranty send it back for replacement. You can try downloading the firmware from Archos.com and going into the recovery console to update firmware. Perhaps the firmware is corrupt. It is generally reccomended that you have at least 45% battery capacity when doing this, but if ...

By rebooting your device during the download, that should cancel the download. I would suggest you download the firmware update manually through the firmware download page on the Archos.com website.

Well it can't hurt. I'm not sure if there was a battery issue that plagued OS 3.2 as I only had it on my tabby for about 5 minutes before an OTA firmware upgrade message was provided (this was from 3.2 to 4.0.6). I did the upgrade from 4.0.6 to 4.0.7 manually.

Sounds like your firmware is corrupt. You may need to reflash.
