Thank you for the help!
Hi all, I just wanted to say thank you to you all for the support and advice over the last year, I've just put my gen8 + plus bits up for sale and so won't be on the forum much anymore but I've really appreciated the community support that there is for Archos and the great place to share it that ...

Archos 101 Gen8 Tuff Luv Tri Axis and Spare charger for sale
Hi all, I'm sadly moving away from Archos so I'm selling my 101 plus its accessories. I assume ebay links are okay as I can't find a message anywhere to say they aren't!

Re: Urukdroid Optimum Settings
Strange, I didn't have that issue. Although I did find the benefits of those settings most noticeable after a restart.

Just upgraded to RC2, sadly I'm now struggling to wake the device from sleep. Anyone else got this issue from the RC2 update?

Re: Urukdroid 1.6 RC1 Released
Installed last night, (first time uruk user) and I'm astonished by the speed and stability of it,it's like having a brand new tablet. I was considering getting rid of my 101 but this has made it the tablet it was always meant to be. Think archos need to learn a few lessons.

Re: Does Root slow the archos 101down?
I thought that at first so I tried getting rid of opera and it didn't really help. Basically if I boot in developer mode (so root) if I open any apps (evernote, market, anything really) on returning to the homescreen it shows up blank then slowly redraws. However if I do the exact same thing but ...

Does Root slow the archos 101down?
So I've had root running on my 101 for a little while now, I decided to root so I coud move the navigation keys and use titanium backup. I currently use the temp root and select developer edition each time i boot. My question is should i be experiencing any significant impact on the speed of my ...

Arnova 10 G2 gingerbread port possible?
Hi all, just read in an android news feed about Arnova 10 g2 devices being given out. It lists them as running gingerbread. Am I right in saying these devices are almost identical to the Archos 101 hardware wise? If so would it be a relatively easy port to put this firmware onto a gen8 101 ...

I've now moved the main buttons to the notification bar which fixes the issue. Although I'm hoping for Swiftkeys fix soon. There hasn't been a new beta since I posted on here!

Re: Swiftkey Tablet X
I managed to provide some possibly helpful info to the dev team at swiftkey and although they don't have a fix yet they may be able to address the issue in coming releases. Prob not anytime soon but at least it seems they've begun to work on the fault.

Re: Low on Space with only 14 apps in system storage?
I see that you've fixed it now but in case anyone else with this issue looks I have had the same issue many times and found the best solution is to use the android developer bridge to run the pm setInstallLocation commend which allows all apps to be moved to sd (or in the case of the Archos the ...

When should the next update be avalible?
Hi all, I know this has been discussed in other threads but am I right in saying archos original commuted to monthly update when the released the gen8 tabs? If so survey will are due an update any day now. Am I correct or is it just up to them when or if they update our devices?

apologies, I just went to the gen8 section and didn't see anything mentioned which I thought odd given how unimpressed everyone has been with the lack of flash.

Re: new firmware 2.3.26 - report bugs here
Is that just with another keyboard or is that the standard archos keyboard? I've been having this issue with the stock browser and swiftkey increasingly. However seems to be okay with opera and swiftkey.

Re: new firmware 2.3.26 - report bugs here
I did come across that possible cause so I've been running at full brightness for the last week, sadly still have the issue. Even if that was the cause I really hope archos are trying to correct it as not being able to adjust the brightness is a stupid flaw.
