I just went with the screen protector, didn't go for the skin that covered the whole unit.

Did you manage to get yours applied without bubbles/fingerprints etc? I'm finding my a70 is a major fingerprint magnet so anything I can apply to it that will prevent that is a plus as far as I'm concerned

As long as you let your electronics come back to room temp, you should be fine. Any condensation should dry out by the time your device warms up. I've kept computers in cold storage here in North Dakota (temps drop far below zero in winter) and have never had a problem as long as I let them warm ...

I've got an Archos 70 on the way and I've been looking at screen protectors. How much do these skins affect the touch sensitivity of the screen?

I haven't ordered from them before, but I've seen a few threads here and there from people who have. I think it's a safe bet. Time will tell.
