Its not Archangel...I've tried it with and without is. Several post floating around about wifi problems. I can connect to home no problem, but not so much luck with open hot spots....I've email Archos...they are "forwarding my problems to the developers"

You would think so..after all, they hide all the menus while watching videos, so they already know how.....

first time I connected, I opened Dolphin, it took me to the hotel log-in page...
Next day it would not connect, so I could not connect to the log-in page...

WIFI would just keep trying to connect, then disable the connection...over and over again....

I can't troubleshoot as I am no longer there ...

2.1.8 did fix my access to the local OPEN hotspot i frequent, but this is the first secure hotspot I've used since 2.0.71(which worked at a hotel)

Archos seems to fix one problem, while creating ...

I did discover, that once 2.1.8 is applied, you can longer revert to 2.0.71!!!!!

At a hotel this weekend...

First time I connected to the hotel free wifi, opend the browser, input the password on the typical hotspot welcome screen and was able to get online..

Next day, tried to get online, wifi ...

Just went to Flixster.com and watched the trailer for 'I Am Number Four" on the Archos 70.

APPs...People like APPs, i had a windows phone and always had to "go to the web page"...APPs make it easier, thats is why people love the IPhone and Android....
