I paid for shipping the first time and they covered the shipping for the rest.

The thing is I can't use the device that I paid for and they are losing money as well. Why not a better quality control....

This is the worst 300 bucks that I have spent on electronics.

OK. I found the problems in a day or two after receiving the unit. Every time the problem is different.

I am very careful with the device.

how did you format the flash drive? i noticed on mine, using windows to format it to fat32, if i choose any sector size other than "use default" then it will not read the drive at all...

also, 3 in a row means either there is something else wrong or you have quite possibly the worst luck with ...

I have the 101. There's one full usb port.

On the previous units, my flash drives worked. This port is dead. No response. The lights on my drives don't even turn on.

my experience:

1. first unit. system memory error. No way to do the full initialization (volume button way).
2. 2nd unit. part of ...

Just set another RMA.

Third time since purchase. Is it just my bad luck or anything?

They test the unit at all before shipping them out?

Really want my money back. I can't believe the quality of this thing...

Do you have to do anything to turn the USB port on?

I plug my usb flash drive (formated to FAT32) and nothing happens.

Plug a usb hard drive in, the light comes up but nothing happens.

I hope it's not a problem. This is my third 101 already... Just got back from RMA

I've seen bunch of Android tables at CES.

Really like the archos 101. Just wish it won't break anytime soon. If it happens again, either a better-built Android tablet, or playbook, or ipd 2 should suit my needs.

I am nowhere near a power user... just browsing, read pdfs.

It's weird.

Someone here is really happy with his archos.

Some are like me, having 'not so good' experience.

I am jealous. When it works, it's great. But you never know when it's gonna work, when it's not.

if this one broke down again. I will fight for my money back and get an ipad...

Hi guys,

When you put your device (mine is 101) to sleep by tapping on the power button, does the power indicator (the green led on the side) turn off?

On my previous two unites, it turned off when the device is in sleep. But this one I got from RMA doesn't. Kind of annoying.

when u rotate the device so that column is on the top, the notification bar can't be pulled down.

touch and hold that area, doesn't bring up the soft menu to add shorts either.

It's going back again today.

The column where the android buttons are in landscape mode doesn't respond anymore.

Tried screen calibration - not helpful.

Re-format, not helpful.

If I rotate the device so that the buttons are at a different location, they work ...
