Geez, this is one of those things I can't stand about Archos: they make entirely too many damned devices that are so tough to identify in any relatively easy way. :)

The plugin only adds support for AC3 audio and MPEG2 decoding - basically DVD content. By default, the 70 and most Archos devices can play everything else out of the box.

I don't yet have an Archos, but the AMC specs only shows support for certain text sub formats, not bitmap (VobSub) subs, which is what your clip has.
