Hi I have a archos 48 with the 2.0.45 firmware. My problem is the volume is to low which make the unit useless to me. Is there a way yet to fix this problem through permanent hack or firmware downgrade.

I would be extremely surprise if the flash model uses the same AMPERAGE battery since a mechanical hard drive uses more current than flash memory, so I would assume archos would have used a lower current battery for the flash version.
